Pest Free Kaipātiki Restoration Society (PFK) is a community-led organisation with a small team of restoration specialists complemented by an engine room of fantastic volunteers and working closely with the Local Board and Council officers.
We are delighted to be improving the support we give to our volunteers and enhancing our presence in the restoration space with the expansion of our team. We have two roles to fill:
Community Activator (full time)
Tree Champion (part time)
We are looking for a ‘Community Activator’ who can bring innovation and creativity to engage the public and stakeholders in ecological restoration; to recruit, engage and support volunteers and groups to restore native biodiversity.
The 'Tree Champion' will coordinate ‘The Greening of Kaipātiki’- a PFK initiative to protect and enhance native forest cover in the Kaipātiki Local Board area. Specific tasks are contained within the Project Management Plan.
Applicants for these positions should be able to provide evidence of NZ residency or a valid NZ work visa.
