Kaipātiki Environmental Schools Program

This month we held our annual Kaipātiki Environmental Schools Training Program for 15 school teachers and 4 property managers.

We were delighted to have guest speakers Sam Tu'itahi from the Kaipātiki Project talk about sustainability, Amber de Boer from Auckland Council’s Sustainable Schools team talk about EnviroSchools and our very own Fiona Smal discuss New Zealand’s Natural History and managing pests.

If your school was not able to attend but would like to get involved, over the next month we will be arranging meetings with schools to provide pest traps, pest monitoring eg. tracker tunnels & chew cards, pest plant identification and further sustainability support.

We encourage your school to contact us to join our schools program and register your classroom for Citizen Science Month.
