Overview of Volunteer Initiatives Programme

This programme aims to support our local volunteers to achieve the objectives of the Pest Free Kaipātiki Strategy to help restore native biodiversity in Significant Ecological Areas (SEAs) on public and private land.

The funding is available to support, enhance and develop new and existing community-based volunteers (bush restoration groups and other like-minded groups) projects that their community has recognized as important to the restoration of the native biodiversity in their area.

The project is funded by the Kaipātiki Local Board (KLB), the Birkenhead Licensing Trust, Auckland Council, the Department of Conservation and other funding providers.

The next round of funding is open for March 2020. Closes 13th April 2020
