Update 29 May 2020: Due to the threat of CoVid-19, the contactless toolshed WILL REMAIN ACTIVE in addition to the usual toolshed until otherwise notified for those who are concerned. Please continue to use this FORM to arrange a contactless pickup.

After receiving your form, PFK will contact you within 7 days to arrange your pickup.

Time: 9am-11am
Venue: The basement of the Birkenhead Senior Citizens Hall, 251 Hinemoa St, Birkenhead (opposite Birkenhead Library - go down the driveway - the BSCA hall is on your left as you go down to the Le Roys Bush boardwalk)

Drop by to borrow weeding tools and safety gear. We have small sickles perfect for cutting ginger and moth plant, metgel herbicide, loppers, and more.

If you are in a designated enhanced halo area you may be eligible to borrow free predator control equipment - but we will ask you in exchange to record your predator control work in our EcoTrack app.

IMPORTANT LEVEL 2 CoVid-19 guidelines

From the 27th of June, the large usual toolshed will re-open during level 2 and 1 lockdown levels, subject to official government recommendations.

Please note the following guidelines to visit the toolshed for advice and collecting resources:

  • Please do not visit the toolshed if you have a cold like CoVid-19 symptoms. Email us if this is the case and we will try and assist another way.

  • No personal protective equipment (PPE) such as gloves, dust masks or eye ware will be distributed until further notice

  • We ask that borrowed tools are given a wash (and dried) at home before returning. PFK will sterilise tools as they are returned to the toolshed.

  • We are going to trial a '2 in, 2 out' method of social distancing since the toolshed is rather confined. Please knock on arrival and wait outside until called in. We will try our best to quickly and efficiently get you what you need, but please be aware that your toolshed visit may take a few minutes longer than usual. We thank you in advance for your patience and understanding.

  • Please maintain social distancing both inside and outside the toolshed if waiting

  • Hand sanitizer will be available on site
